A leak underneath the control head is likely due to one of three things.
- The control head is not threaded on properly and needs to be removed and rethreaded
- One of the two o-rings found underneath the control head is out of its groove or pinched and needs to be reseated if out of the grooves or replaced if it is pinched.
- The water pressure for the home exceeds the 125 PSI limitation for the water softener and needs to be reduced by a pressure-reducing valve
