Can I connect the reverse osmosis to my fridge/ice maker?

The Premier Reverse Osmosis unit can be connected to a fridge, though our Extra Output Kit will make this a much easier connection with no potential interruptions in the water output of the unit.

*In some cases, having a “T” connection to a fridge or ice maker can cause the fridge or ice maker and the RO unit to compete for water. This causes an imbalance between the two connections and can cause the RO tank to recognize constant, empty space within the storage tank. When this happens, the RO unit beings to attempt to produce more water to refill the tank, and constant draining can be heard throughout this process.

*If you do not have an Extra Output Kit and do have a “T” connection for a fridge or ice maker and you hear constant draining, turn off the fridge or ice maker connection for 2-3 hours to give the storage tank time to catch up and refill. At this point, the pressures should level out, and both the fridge/ ice maker and RO unit can sustain themselves.
