Filter Replacement Schedule
Replacement timing depends on your water source and sediment levels.
- For city water, filters should typically be replaced every 6–12 months.
- For well water, filters should generally be replaced every 4–6 months.
Homes with heavy sediment may require more frequent replacement. Monitoring water pressure and visible discoloration can help determine when a filter change is needed.
SCZ Filter Replacement
If your system uses an SCZ filter cartridge, well water applications may require replacement as frequently as every 3–4 months due to higher sediment and contaminant levels.
Replacing SCZ filters on time helps prevent pressure loss and ensures consistent filtration performance.
Pleated Filter Cleaning
Pleated sediment filters can be washed and reused up to three times within their recommended replacement timeframe.
When cleaning a pleated filter:
- Remove the cartridge from the housing.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove debris.
- Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Even with cleaning, pleated filters should still be replaced according to the recommended schedule to maintain optimal filtration efficiency.
