What does the Sparkle Shower Filter reduce?
The Sparkle shower filter uses a multi-stage media blend to help reduce chlorine, sediment, odors, VOCs, and certain impurities commonly found in shower water.
Does the Sparkle Shower Filter soften water?
No. The Sparkle Shower Filter is a filtration system and does not remove hardness minerals or function as a water softener.
Will this shower filter lower my water pressure?
No. Under normal operating conditions, you should not notice a significant change in water pressure.
Installation & Compatibility
Can I install this myself?
Yes. Simply remove your existing showerhead, attach the Sparkle Shower Filter to the shower arm, and then reattach your showerhead. No specialized tools are required. Plumber tape and a wrench are included to assist with installation if needed.
Can I use it on a handheld shower?
Yes. The Sparkle Shower Filter is compatible with most standard showerheads and shower arms, including many handheld models that use standard threading.
Is the cartridge safe for hot water?
Yes. The cartridge is rated for water temperatures up to 100°F. Do not exceed the maximum temperature rating.
Cartridge Replacement & Maintenance
How often do I need to replace the cartridge?
Replace the cartridge every 10,000 gallons (approximately 6 months of use).
What is the replacement cartridge SKU?
The correct replacement cartridge for this system is AF-SP6M.
Does the Sparkle shower filter need to be flushed before use?
Yes. After installation or cartridge replacement, allow the water to run briefly before normal use. This helps flush the cartridge before use.
