All Dash Series models are designed for simple annual maintenance. Filters are replaced based on total system capacity, not by individual filtration stage.
Routine replacement helps keep the system operating properly and supports consistent filtered water quality.
When to Replace Dash Filters
Each Dash system is rated by total filtration capacity. Replace the filter or filters when the system reaches the gallon limit or time limit, whichever comes first.
Replace the filters:
- Every 800 gallons (typically lasts one year)
The built-in LED indicator provides replacement reminders:
- Yellow light: less than 10% filter life remaining
- Red light: filter replacement is required
These indicators help show when the filters are nearing the end of their rated life.
Replacement Filters by Model
It is important to use the correct replacement filters for your specific model.

Confirm your model number before purchasing replacement filters to ensure compatibility.
How to Replace the Filters
Dash Series systems are designed for straightforward filter replacement. Place the system over a small bucket or sink before opening the housing, as some water may remain inside the unit.
Follow these steps:
- Turn off the faucet and disconnect the unit.
- Remove the cover and band from the system.
- Flip the system over and place it in a small bucket or sink.
- Unscrew the housing.
- Remove the used filter cartridge or cartridges.
- Insert the new replacement cartridge or cartridges.
- Screw the housing back on securely.
- Unplug the battery connector.
- Unscrew the battery case and replace the batteries if needed.
- Screw the battery case back in place and reconnect the battery connector.
- Flip the system upright and replace the band and cover.
- Reconnect the system to the faucet.
- Repeat the system startup and flushing steps before normal use.
Refer to your owner’s manual for model-specific instructions.
After Replacing Filters
After replacing the filters, run water through the system for 3–5 minutes to flush the new cartridge or cartridges.
During the first flush, you may notice carbon fines or cloudy water. Carbon fines should clear during flushing, and cloudiness from trapped air should clear if the water sits for several minutes.
Check the system and faucet connection for leaks before normal use. If you notice a leak, turn off the faucet and correct the connection before using the system.
