The Serene Series salt-free water conditioner is designed to help prevent scale buildup in plumbing systems and appliances. It conditions hard water without using salt or regeneration cycles.
How It Works
Salt-free water conditioners, like the Serene Series, use NAC media to condition hardness minerals so they are less likely to stick to surfaces and form limescale.
NAC stands for Nucleation-Assisted Crystallization. This is the conditioning media used inside a Serene Series system tank.
Salt-Free Conditioning vs. Traditional Softening
The Serene Series helps reduce scale buildup by conditioning hardness minerals so they are less likely to attach to plumbing, fixtures, and appliances.
But, unlike a salt-based water softener, it does not remove calcium or magnesium from the water. Because these minerals remain present, the system will not produce the same results as a traditional softener.
With a salt-free conditioner, here are the main results:
- Helps reduce scale buildup in plumbing, fixtures, and appliances
- Keeps calcium and magnesium minerals in the water
- Does not add sodium to the water
- Hardness test readings may not change
- Water will not feel slippery like softened water
These are expected outcomes for a scale-prevention system that keeps minerals in the water.
Available Sizes
The Serene Series is offered in multiple flow-rate options so you can match the unit to household demand. Choosing the right size helps the system perform as intended.
Available sizes include:
- 10 GPM
- 15 GPM
Both sizes use NAC conditioning media, with different flow capacities.
