This article outlines the operating limits, flow rates, and physical specifications of the Serene Series Salt-Free Water Conditioner. Review these details before installation to help ensure proper system performance.
Operating Limits
The Serene Series is designed to operate within specific water quality and installation parameters. Installing the system outside of these limits may reduce effectiveness or affect system performance.
The system operating limits are:
- Flow direction: Up flow
- Water temperature: 40°F–100°F
- Water pressure: 20–75 PSI
- pH range: 6.5–9.5
- Maximum hardness: 75 GPG / 1338 PPM
- Maximum salinity: 35,000 PPM
- Maximum iron: 0.5 PPM
- Maximum manganese: 0.05 PPM
- Maximum free chlorine: 3 PPM
- Maximum copper: 1.3 PPM
- Oil and hydrogen sulfide: 0 PPM
The Serene Series does not remove iron. If iron levels exceed the maximum limit, additional treatment may be required before installation.
Available Flow Rates
The Serene Series is available in two flow rate options. Selecting the correct size depends on household water demand.
The available models are:
- 10 GPM
- 15 GPM
Both models use NAC conditioning media, with different flow capacities to support different household demands.
Dry Tank Specifications
The physical weight of the system varies by model. These measurements are provided for planning and installation purposes.
Dry specifications are:
- AF-SF10G: 30 lbs dry weight
- AF-SF15G: 40 lbs dry weight
Ensure adequate installation space before mounting the unit.
NAC Media Amounts by Model
The amount of NAC media inside the Serene Series tank depends on the system size.
Use the following media amounts as a reference:
- 10 GPM model: 7 liters of NAC media
- 15 GPM model: 10 liters of NAC media
Serene Lite:
- 600 Model: 1.5 liters of NAC media
- 800 Model: 2.5 liters of NAC media
The media may not fill the entire tank. This is intentional and does not mean the tank is missing media or defective.
